Classes are one day a week, for six weeks. Classes will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All classes are limited to ten students.

5-17 year old class
Students will work with nature prints, pinch pots, wind chimes, tiles, hand building sculpture, mask making and wheel throwing. Cost includes all clay, glazes and firings. Cost: $98.00

Students will work with coiled and hand built pots, tile making, sculpture, mask making and wheel throwing. Cost includes all clay, glazes and firings. Cost: $115.00

Glazes and final firing range from $2 to $4 depending on the size of the piece and type of glaze used. We teach beginners and those who have worked with clay before. Attire for Clay Classes
Working with clay can be very messy! Students should wear old clothes that they can get dirty. Most clay will wash out of clothing but some glazes may stain fabrics.

Long hair should be tied back and we recommend trimming nails if you plan to work on the wheel.

Jewelry such as rings or bracelets should be left at home, as we cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage to these items.

Unfinished Projects
We will bisque fire all finished projects made during class time. If you do not have enough class time to finish glazing your work, studio time is available at the rate of $10.00 per hour. Teacher instruction may not be available during studio hours. Please call for available studio times.

We also sell glazes by the jar. You may purchase glazes, take your pieces home to glaze them and then return them to us for firing. If your class requires separate firing charges (adult classes only), charges apply even if pieces crack or break during the firing process.

Bisque fired pieces can also be painted at home with acrylic paints. We recommend sealing painted work with a spray on top sealant, such as Crystal Clear Glaze or Duncan Ceramic Sealer. Painted pieces will not be watertight (as would glaze fired pieces) and we don't recommend using them for food serving.

Projects left after class session ends
Both completed and unfinished projects are held for 60 days from the end of your class. Creative fire cannot be responsible for tools, projects or personal items left in the studio over 60 days.

Studio Time
Studio time is a great option for continuing students who would like to continue their clay work but can't commit to a scheduled class. Studio time rate is $10.00 per hour without teacher instruction, $15.00 with instruction. Call for studio hours or to schedule studio time with an available instructor.
